Privacy Policy

This is a draft policy for Young Founders Challenge India 2026. It explains what information we collect from young participants and their parents or guardians, and what we do with it.

Because participants are minors, we collect only what we need to run the competition, verify eligibility and pay prizes — and we never sell personal information.

01Information we collect

Participant name, date of birth and age, email address, phone number, city, state, school and grade; team name and the names, ages, schools and email addresses of any team members; parent or guardian name, relationship, email address, phone number and consent; your idea submission and any optional link you provide; declarations and consents; and payment status information returned by our payment provider.

We do not store card, UPI or bank credentials. Payments are processed by our payment provider, and we receive only the payment reference and status.

02Why we use it

To process and verify your application, to collect the entry fee, to score entries and communicate results, to send competition updates and instructions, to verify eligibility and parent/guardian consent, to pay prizes, and to keep basic records of the competition.

03Who can see it

The organiser, Aaryaveer Jatia, who reviews and scores entries. Service providers — payment processing, email delivery and hosting — process information on our behalf under their own terms. We may disclose information where required by law.

04Publicity

Finalist and winner recognition may include first name, city, idea name and one-line description. A parent or guardian may ask for a name to be withheld and replaced with initials.

05How long we keep it

Application and scoring records are retained for up to 24 months after the competition concludes so results, prizes and disputes can be verified, then deleted or anonymised. Payment records may be retained longer where required for accounting purposes.

06Security

Data is stored in a managed, access-controlled database. Access to applications is limited to the organiser. We use encrypted connections throughout the site.

07Your choices

A participant or their parent/guardian may request a copy of their information, ask for corrections, withdraw consent or ask us to delete their data by writing to hello@youngfounderschallenge.in. Withdrawing consent before judging means the entry cannot be evaluated; refunds in that situation follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

08Cookies

The site uses only the storage necessary to run the application form and keep organisers signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Final data-controller details and registered address will be added once confirmed. Privacy questions: hello@youngfounderschallenge.in.
